Frequently Asked Questions

We are a 24/7 operation. Can you work around shift workers?

Yes. Brad has spoken at 5am and 11pm; and everything in between. Brad is willing to speak twice in one day to accommodate shifts. Brad highly recommends having the workers meet BEFORE their shift. Talk to Brad about any logistical problem, chance is he can accommodate your unique needs.

Can Brad come to our facility (such as a manufacturing plant) and speak on site?

Yes! That is his favorite audience! He wants to get his message out to these very people!

Does Brad need any special equipment such as overhead projectors and such?

No. Brad only needs one small table at the front of the room that he uses for an audience participation activity. For groups over 100, we recommend a sound system with a lapel microphone, which Brad can provide, if necessary.

Does Brad need any special meeting room/auditorium?

No. Brad has spoken in tents, break rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, sectioned off warehouse, mechanic's shops, control rooms and the like.

What size group does Brad recommend for the most impact?

Brad has spoken to groups from seven to 1000. The optimal size, is 50-150.

Can Brad's presentation be individualized to include our particular safety message/challenges?

Yes, yes and YES! Brad's presentation is not a "canned" speech. He can individualize the message to include the safety team's ideals.

How long does Brad's presentation last?

60 minutes give or take a few. He recommends allowing for 90 minutes so that a Q & A session following can be accommodated. Brad has a photo album that he offers people to look at.

What does Brad charge?

Brad charges a daily fee plus travel expenses. Brad is able to present his speech twice in one day for this fee. Please contact Brad for an individualized quote.

Can Brad tour our facility and give us feed-back?

Yes, but Brad is NOT a Safety Consultant. His job is to motivate a great safety atmosphere. Brad would love to tour the facility at your invitation and talk with the employees. He is an approachable person who may receive comments from workers that will be helpful. He respects the privacy of people who confide in him, but can tell you any concerns he notices.

Has Brad worked with an interpreter?

Yes. Surprisingly it has gone very well. He has worked with professional real-time interpreters in Spanish, French and Chinese.

Has Brad worked internationally?

Yes. Brad's speech has been heard on every continent except Antarctica.

Where is Brad from?

Idaho! And proud of it. =)

Testimonials

  • He is the most powerful speaker I have ever seen, his communication technique is extremely simple and the most powerful known to man - it is from the heart. He is able to transport his audience to the place and moment of his accident. Then he looks at all the actions that could have prevented the incident but it did not happen. He also talks about the impact of the incident to everyone around him and those at the helm of the organization. He does a fantastic job and the people react to his speech in ways that I've never seen before (some cry, others even faint), but everyone reflects on the subject.

  • It has left the most lasting impression that I can believe is possible, and it surely will save further people from serious injury or death as it will have done in the past since his campaign started. Well done for finding him and for bringing him to AT Plastics.

  • Brad spoke at our last manager meeting and he is terrific! When he tells his story it gives you goose bumps and a new resolve for safety! Everyone... deserves to see Brad tell his story... they will definitely consider the consequences the next time they put their safety at risk.
    - Paul Sartin, Amcor

  • Brad shares a very tragic and emotional story of his safety accident that always leaves my students wanting to do their very best to protect themselves and their co-workers from accidents. To remove an arm during him presentation gets everyone's attention very quickly.
